Campsite
The Forrás campsite is located in the small village of Magyarhertelend, about 20 kilometers from Hungary's cultural city of Pécs. The Forrás camping is a small-scale campsite with about 45 camping spaces. On the camping site there is a reception, sanitary building, a small playground and a cozy Bufé. You can enjoy the peace and quiet, the sun and the beautiful surroundings. There are plenty of opportunities in the area for walking, sightseeing or undertaking activities. For relaxation you can go to the Magyarhertelend Thermal Bath, about 100 meters from the campsite. If you stay at our campsite you will receive a 20% discount on the entry ticket. Feel free to bring your dog as the campsite is a dog friendly place.
Reception
Reception is located at the front of the campground. Feel free to pop in with questions, as well as for tips on cool day trips in the area. We have books and board games on hand that you can borrow, as well as a jeu de boules set and other sport activities. You can also place your order for our baked goods breakfast service here. Just put your order in before noon using the order form, to enjoy fresh baked goods at your tent or caravan the next morning. Ice creams is also being sold at the reception. So relax and enjoy your stay on our campgrounds in beautiful Hungary. The opening hours are from 7 am till 10pm
Campgrounds
The campsite is located at the foot of a hill, at the edge of the Mescek mountain range.This offers a gently sloping landscape. The campground can accommodate some 45 caravans/campers or tents, measuring approximately 100 m2. All camping spaces have electricity (16 AMP) and WiFi is available throughout the camping site. There are water points available at the sanitary building and the Bufé. For campers we have a water point at the front of the campsite so you can easily fill your water tank.
There is also a small playground and a bogrács/BBQ area you can use. The wood for this will be provided. In high season we organize goulash evenings for all guests at the campsite so they can enjoy a tippical hungarian meal.
Vegetable and herb garden
There is also a vegetable and herb garden. Everything is grown organically and during your stay, you can harvest your own vegetables and herbs in consultation with us. Please keep in mind that the available vegetables and herbs can vary due to the season or the weather. We grow tomatoes, cabbage, lettuce, peppers, zucchini, and lots more. Plenty of choice for a tasty fresh meal.
Sanitary building
In the sanitary building there are a total of 6 showers, 7 toilets, 3 urinals and sufficient sinks. The women’s side offers a laundry room with a washing machine and dryer (for a fee). At the back of the building, you will find dishwashing areas and there is a refrigerator, microwave and two electric hobs for shared use. The water points are located on the sides of the building and the Chemical toilet is located at the back.
